A self-worth & attachment curriculum
You were worthy before you did a single thing.
A step-by-step path out of shame and into a steady, inside-out sense of your own value.

What it is

Making Sense of Your Worth is a curriculum created by Cindy R. Lee, LCSW, in partnership with HALO Project International in Oklahoma City. It grew out of groups with domestic violence survivors and foster and adoptive parents: people who had learned to measure their value by how well they performed, pleased, or survived.
It rests on one distinction. Self-esteem rises and falls with what you do. Self-worth is the belief that you are worthy of being seen, heard, and valued, simply because you exist.

The path
Real safety and felt safety, plus a plan for support while you do hard work.
Understanding where the lies came from, and why they were never about you.
Seeing how old beliefs shaped your choices, and letting new patterns grow.
Letting the truth about who you are land, and stay.
On your timeline, within healthy boundaries, and never forced.
Grief often travels alongside these steps. That is part of healing, not a detour from it.

Working together
The curriculum was first written as a group class, and it adapts well to weekly one-to-one sessions. That is how I offer it, by secure video anywhere in California.
We start with safety and a simple self-worth check-in, and we revisit that check-in at the end so you can see what has shifted. We never move into deeper work before you are ready for it.
